max lvl 99Raw ingredients

Training guide

Pick wild plants, berries and herbs straight off the land — the fastest skill to start, no tool required.

Getting started

Walk up to any berry bush or wildflower meadow on Tutorial Island and gather it. Foraging needs no tool, so you can train it from the moment you arrive.

LevelsActivityWhat to do
1–5Wildflower meadows & berry bushesScattered across the Tutorial Island meadows. ~8–10 XP per pick, instant respawns make this the quickest early XP in the game.
3–12Mushroom patches, herb patches & cotton bushesMushroom patches open at L3; herb patches and cotton bushes at L5. Herbs feed Cooking, cotton feeds Weaving.
12–18Feather nests & bramble thicketsFeather nests (L12) and bramble thickets (L15) are the mid-game grind. Feathers are used for arrow fletching.
18–99Whispering cotton & glow-cap grovesWhispering cotton patches (L18) and glow-cap groves (L20, ~80 XP) carry you the rest of the way.

Tips

  • Foraging is the only gathering skill that needs no tool — train it first while you save for a pickaxe and axe.
  • Herb leaves and mushrooms are Cooking ingredients; cotton is the base of every Weaving recipe.
